Seabourn Travel Policy—As of 4/21/20 |
|
NEW!—Announced April 14th
Seabourn, the world’s finest ultra-luxury travel experience, announced today that it will extend the voluntarily pause of global operations for its five cruise ships to voyages scheduled to depart through June 30, 2020.
The brand had previously announced a pause in its global ship operations from March 14 - May 14, 2020, effectively cancelling all voyages scheduled to operate during that timeframe. The decision is a proactive response to the unpredictable circumstances evolving from the global response to the COVID-19 situation.
Seabourn will be communicating changes for voyages scheduled to depart in the extension window with all booked guests and their travel advisors.
Seabourn guests on impacted voyages will receive a 125% refund on monies received in the form of a future cruise credit, which must be booked by Dec. 30, 2020 but can be applied toward any future cruise through December 31, 2021. For guests who do not opt to choose the 125% future cruise credit, a 100% refund of the monies paid to Seabourn will be reimbursed to the original form of payment.
Guests and their travel advisors will be sent details on how to manage cancellations and desired compensation online. Seabourn asks guests and travel advisors to use the online resources available first rather than calling the Reservation Call Center for information about the cancellations due to the possibility of high call volumes and the potential of long on-hold wait times.

Announced March 13th
Seabourn will voluntarily pause global operations of its five cruise ships for 30 days, starting March 14. The decision is a voluntary response to the unpredictable circumstances evolving from the global spread of COVID-19 and in an abundance of caution.
Current voyages that are underway will end by March 22. Seabourn will be communicating these changes with all booked guests and their travel advisors.
Seabourn guests on impacted voyages will receive a 125% refund of the fare paid in the form of a future cruise credit, which can be applied toward any future cruise through December 31, 2021. For guests who do not opt to choose the 125% future cruise credit, a 100% refund of the fare paid will be reimbursed to the original form of payment.
Health Advisory - COVID-19
Dear Valued Guest:
To protect the health and safety of all onboard, Seabourn is closely monitoring the evolving situation with novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Seabourn's medical experts are coordinating closely with international health authorities and together, Seabourn has developed a written traveler’s health declaration to be completed by all guests and crew prior to boarding in order to keep their guests and crew safe. Those individuals identified as high-risk groups are required to undergo enhanced screening measures and additional prevention and control procedures.
These measures include:
As with all respiratory illnesses, particularly during cold and flu season, you can take steps to reduce your risk of illness:
While onboard, if you experience any symptoms of respiratory illness, which may include fever, chills, cough, or shortness of breath, please contact the Medical Center. Updated information on the illness and travel advice can be found on the CDC website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
Please be aware that as this public health situation continues to evolve rapidly, you may be required to undergo additional health screening measures by local health officials before you disembark at any of the ports we visit, and entry requirements are subject to change. If any revisions need to be made to our itinerary due to travel restrictions, or to protect the health and safety of our guests and crew, we will update you as soon as possible.
The above is subject to change at any time based on the interests of health and safety of our guests and crew and any other requirements that may be imposed by local authorities.
*14-days is the accepted standard incubation period of COVID-19 recognized by the WHO and US CDC.
Yours in health,
