Gmail Users

Move to Your Primary Inbox

  • Desktop
    • Drag and drop into the "Primary" tab near the top-left part of your screen.
    • If your email has gone to Spam...
      • To search for your Spam folder, locate the left pane (you may need to click "More" to see it).
      • Click to open.
      • Check the box for the email you want to mark as safe.
      • At the top, click the "Not Spam" button. Future messages from this sender should be delivered to the inbox.
  • Phone
    • Hit the 3 dots at top right corner.
    • Click "Move to" then "Primary."

Yahoo Users

Add to Contacts

  • Click Sender name and select "Add to Contacts."
  • Or add manually...

    • Click "New Contact."
    • Enter the contact’s information.
    • Click "Add More" to add additional information fields.
    • Click "Save."

  • If your email has gone to Spam...

AOL Users

Add to Contacts

  • Click Sender name and select "Add Contact."
  • Or add manually...
    • In the left panel, click "Contacts."
    • Above your list of contacts, click the "New Contact" button.
    • Add the email address and any other information.
    • At the bottom, click the "Add Contact" button.
  • If your email has gone to Spam...
    • In the folder pane on the left, open the "Spam" folder.
    • Check the box to the left of the email you want to mark as safe.
    • Click "Ok" on the top toolbar to move the message into your inbox. Future messages from this sender will be delivered to the inbox.

Outlook or Hotmail Users

  • Microsoft Outlook 2007 and 2013 for Windows
    • Open the message so that the sender’s name is shown.
    • Right-click the name, and click "Add to Contacts."
    • Fill in the details if you want.
    • Click "Save."
  • Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac
    • In the list of emails, click the message.
    • On the Message menu, point to Sender.
    • Click "Add to Contacts."
  • Outlook.com
    • In People, click "New."
    • Add contact info. If you want to add more than one email address, phone number, or any other information, click the plus (+) icon in that section.
    • Click "Save."
  • If your email has gone to Spam...
    • In the folder pane on the left, open the "Junk Email" folder.
    • Check the box to the left of the email you want to mark as safe.
    • At the top, click the "Not Junk" button. Future messages from this sender should be delivered to the inbox.

Comcast or Xfinity

  • If your email has gone to Spam...
    • In the folder pane on the left, look for "Spam" folder.
    • Select the email you want to mark as safe.
    • At the top, click the "Not Spam" button. Future messages from this sender should be delivered to the inbox.
  • Comcast/Xfinity also offers an "Email Safe List." Enabling this will only allow email from specific email addresses included. This means any email received from a sender not included in the Email Safe List will never be seen, in the inbox, spam folder, or otherwise. It is not advised to enable this feature.

Apple Mail Users

Add to Your VIP List

  • Desktop
    • Move your pointer to the left of the sender’s name in the message header.
    • Click on the star that appears.
      • You can also hover the pointer over the sender’s email address, click the arrow that appears, and then choose "Add to VIPs."
  • Phone
    • Tap on our email address at the top of any email (next to "From:" on mobile).
    • Select "Add to VIP," "Create New Contact" or "Add to Existing Contact."

Other

AT&T WebMail

  • Select "Options."
  • Select "Filters."
  • Click "Add Filter."
  • In the top row labeled From Header, select "contains" from the drop down menu.
  • Enter the sender's email address.
  • Move down to the bottom where there is the option "Move the message to." Select "Inbox" from the drop down menu.
  • Select the "Add Filter" button again.

Cox.net

  • Open your email.
  • Click "Preferences."
  • Under "General Email Preferences", click "Blocked Senders."
  • Type in the sender's email address in the "Exceptions List."
  • Click "Add."
  • Click "Save."

EarthLink

  • Click "Add"
  • Enter your sender's domain i.e. example.com.
  • Click "Save."

Entourage

  • Open the email.
  • Right click the sender's email address.
  • Select "Add to Address Book."
  • Verify the sender's contact details.
  • Click "Save."

GMX

  • Open the email.
  • Click the "Plus" symbol on the sender's email address.
  • Add the first/last name of the sender.
  • Click "Ok."

Mail.com

  • Open the email.
  • Click the "Plus" symbol on the sender's email address.
  • Add the first/last name of the sender.
  • Click "Ok."

McAfee

  • Click the "Allow/Deny" menu option in the Control Console.
  • Enter the sender's email address in the "Add Entrys" field in the "Allow List."
  • Click "Save."

MSN

  • Select "Settings."
  • From the email settings screen, select "Junk E-mail Guard."
  • Select "Safe List."
  • Enter the sender's email address.
  • Select "Add."

Norton AntiSpam

  • Start Norton AntiSpam.
  • Select "Status & Settings" tab.
  • Select "Configure" button.
  • Select "Allowed List" tab.
  • Select "Add."
  • Enter the sender's email address.
  • Select "Ok."

Road Runner

  • Click your "Junk Mail" folder.
  • Select the email that includes the email address you would like to add as a safe sender.
  • Click "Mark as Not Spam."

Thunderbird

  • Check if your sender's email is in your "Junk" folder. Then, right click on the email and select "Mark As Not Junk."
  • Click "Address Book."
  • Make sure that the "Personal Address Book" is highlighted.
  • Click "New Card", the "New Card" window will display.
  • Under the "Contact" tab, copy your sender's "From" address and paste it into the email dialog box.
  • Click "Ok."

Verizon

  • Open your email.
  • Click "Options."
  • Click "Block Senders."
  • Locate the "Safe List."
  • Enter your contact's domain.
  • Click "OK."

Windstream

  • Click the "Settings" tab.
  • Click "Messages."
  • Click "Allow and Block Messages."
  • Select "Advanced Block Senders."
  • In the "Allowed Senders and Domains" area, type the sender's email address you want to allow.
  • Click "Ok."
